This is the first picture of Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn Bellamy.
Born on July 9 after a four and a half hour labour in which his movie star mother Kate Hudson was ‘a warrior’ according to his rock star father Matt Bellamy, he hasn’t been seen until today.
The first appearance for the little one came earlier as he arrived with his parents and brother Ryder, seven , at LAX, but Bing was carefully swaddled away so no camera could capture his tiny face.
However, his proud father revealed the adorable little fellow in all his glory on his Twitter account later.
Under the caption ‘Family Life!’ Bellamy posted the stunning photograph that shows his fiance smiling whilst deep in conversation, as their newborn baby sleeps soundly on her shoulder.
It’s a beautiful image, relaxed and full of love, and in stark contrast to their harried arrival at LAX earlier today, where Bellamy appeared to be trailing glumly in the wake of his family.
It’s certainly true that in the first flush of a mother’s love, some fathers can feel a bit superfluous.
With all attention directed towards the new arrival, a man can be forgiven for thinking he’s simply there to do the heavy lifting.
Even, it seems, if that man has sold millions of albums and filled the biggest stadiums in the world, as Bellamy seemed to have discovered to his chagrin.
The Muse frontman, 33 , looked grim-faced as he trailed through the airport with the luggage as his fiance, 32 , sped ahead with Bingham, and a security guard.
It made for an odd vignette, father cuckolded from his role as protector by the hired help, but then this is parenthood Hollywood style.
Which is probably something that Bellamy, who hails from sleepy Teignmouth in Devon and lived with his grandmother after his parents divorced.
Hudson, of course, has known nothing else, as she is the daughter of Goldie Hawn, and the step-daughter of Kurt Russell.
